David Ortiz finally is back on television.
The Boston Red Sox legend returned to the MLB on FOX broadcast Friday afternoon after a long recovery following being shot in the Dominican Republic about four months ago.
His cohosts were extremely happy to have him back on set, and he even sent Red Sox Nation a special message.
"Thanks to all those fans who stuck with me," Ortiz said. "All the prayers, everything was great. Thank you very much."

Ortiz will continue to be a staple in the MLB on FOX broadcasts throughout the 2019 postseason, and will surely get some flak from former New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez after the Red Sox missed the playoffs.
