Dosa Factory in Boston's Back Bay Has Closed

by Marc Hurwitz

It looks like an Indian restaurant in the Back Bay has very quietly shut down.

According to an article in Eater Boston, Dosa Factory on Newbury Street is closed, with "For Lease" signs displayed in the windows of the space. It appears that the dining spot may actually have shuttered over the past few months, though it is not known exactly when its last day in operation was. The original location of Dosa Factory in Cambridge's Central Square remains open, while an outlet on Moody Street in Waltham that has been in the works for a number of years now is still not open--and there has been no news of late on that location.

The Newbury Street location of Dosa Factory first opened in early 2015, taking over the space where Steve's Greek Cuisine had been.

The address for this now-closed Indian restaurant in the Back Bay was: Dosa Factory, 316 Newbury Street, Boston, MA, 02115. The website for the Cambridge location can be found at http://www.dosa-factory.com/
