The president of Encore Boston Harbor has decided to step down, Wynn Resorts has announced.
Robert DeSalvio, who has led the casino and resort for five years, will be replaced by Brian Gullbrants, who was in charge of the food and beverage operations at Encore, the Las Vegas-based company said Wednesday.
"Bob leaves Encore with a hand-selected team prepared to take on the challenges ahead," Wynn Resorts CEO Matt Maddox said. "I salute him for his commitment to the project and, most importantly, his dedication to his team."

DeSalvio oversaw the luxury resort’s construction into fruition and was there for its first four months in business, according to The Boston Globe.
Gullbrats worked alongside his predecessor since the resort’s pre-opening phase and led the opening of the Encore Las Vegas in 2008, according to the resort.
In its first month of operations, the Revere-based hotel and casino generated $48.6 million in revenue, according to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission.
The company also announced two other management moves Wednesday. Jenny Holaday will join Encore as executive vice president of operations, and Eric Kraus will join as senior vice president of communications and public affairs.
