Fall-Like Weather Continues Into the Weekend

Fall-like weather that made its presence known Thursday, will continue to usher in the cool-down into the first half of the weekend. We can thank the cold front along with the weak clipper system, originating from Canada, for the clouds, cooler conditions, and rain that starts off our Saturday.

This system will usher in more clouds as early as Friday night, with rain sliding in from west to east for southern New England by early Saturday morning. Clouds and showers stick around into the afternoon, only allowing highs to top out into the upper 50s. The clipper slides out to sea by the evening, allowing room for a dome of high pressure to salvage the second half of the weekend for any of those outdoor plans.

Sunday, after a cold start, temperatures will rebound back into the upper 60s under plenty of sunshine- great to catch a peek of the fall foliage. We start off the first full week of the month of October with highs into the 60s with a slight warm-up by midweek- back into the mid to upper 70s.
