A pedestrian has died after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Methuen, Massachusetts.
The victim, identified by police as a 57-year-old man, was struck on Jackson Street around 9 p.m., Chief Joseph Solomon says.
Jackson Street is closed between Ranger and Dearborn roads as police investigate.
No descriptions have been released for the driver or vehicle involved.
Authorities are asking anyone who lives on Jackson Street from Ranger Road to Pleasant Valley Street to check their security cameras for a vehicle traveling towards Pleasant Valley Street around 8:40 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14.
Anyone with information or surveillance video is asked to call Methuen police at 978-983-8698.
State police are assisting on scene.
