Feel of Summer Continues With Above Normal Temperatures

With the storm track primarily across Canada, much of the United States is experiencing quiet weather with above normal temperatures. This includes New England, right through the weekend.

A high-pressure center over the mid-Atlantic states is sending in wind from the Southwest a bit gusty this afternoon, but the temperatures is well into the 70s and near 100% sunshine. We have a Thursday beauty.

One of the systems crossing Canada will swing a cold front past New England tonight, but most of the energy is going to stay in Canada. We may have a few clouds, and a breeze that keeps us a little warmer overnight. Under fair skies, the temperature cools slowly to the 40s north and 50s south.

Slightly cooler air comes in Friday, but it's a gorgeous day with sunshine and high temperature in the 60s near 70° from north to south, wind from the northwest 10 to 15 mph.

This weekend we will see a rebound in the temperature, back into the 70s, with plenty of sunshine and mostly light variable wind.

We could hardly ask for better weather for so many events, including the big one, the 53rd annual Head of the Charles Regatta.

There are signs of a weather pattern change next week, that could bring some helpful rain and more seasonable temperatures, but not until at least Tuesday.
