Crews Respond to Level 2 Hazmat in Seaport After Diesel Spill

Hazmat crews responded to a diesel fuel spill in Boston's Seaport neighborhood that was the result of a tractor-trailer crash Sunday night.

The Boston Fire Department responded to the area near 88 Black Falcon Pier for a level 2 hazmat, fire officials said. Approximately 75 gallons of diesel spilled after a big rig backed into a parked tractor-trailer.

fire officials said one of the tractor-trailer's tank ruptured, causing the spill.

No injuries occurred during the crash nor the spill, the Boston Fire Department said.
