Firefighters Battle House Fire in Orange

Fire officials say a combustible liquid added to a wood stove caused a fire that destroyed a home and led to injuries in Orange, Massachusetts overnight Sunday and into Monday.

Authorities confirm at least one person and three firefighters were hurt as a result of the North Main Street fire.

The extreme cold temperatures made fighting the fire challenging, officials said. Firefighters extinguished the fire but were still monitoring potential hot spots by Monday morning.

The street reopened to cars Monday as the town's Department of Public Works continued to treat the extreme ice on the street and nearby sidewalks.
