Teen Rescued From Burning Home in Lowell

Firefighters battled a multiple-alarm blaze in Lowell, Massachusetts, on Thursday morning.

The fire was reported shortly around 8:30 a.m. on 7th Street. Fire officials said heavy fire was showing from the 3-family house when they arrived.

A teenager was seen hanging out a window and was rescued by firefighters. The teen was taken to an area hospital, and his condition was not immediately known.

It took about an hour to knock down the fire, officials said. Sixteen people were displaced as a result of the blaze.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
