Operations Restored At Logan Airport after Weather Delays

Landings and departures were temporarily halted due to extreme weather conditions

Logan International Airport temporarily halted all landings and departures due to extreme weather conditions in the greater Boston area.

Operations were returned to normal just after 11:30 a.m.

Just before 10:30 a.m. on Christmas day, Logan Airport reported that due to a quick change in temperature, crews had not been able to keep up with the snow.

"As a precaution, we are not departing or landing aircraft at the moment," wrote officials in a statement.

Crews working to clear the runway expected delays.

Officials stated that there is a light schedule for flights coming into and out of the airport today, easing containment of the problem.
