A family fishing off the coast of Massachusetts spotted a Great White Shark this weekend.
Maria Osbourne, her husband, Martin, and her 15-year-old son, Kyle, were on their boat off Scituate and Cohasset Sunday when they noticed a fin grazing the surface of the water.
Just about 200 yards from the lighthouse, Osbourne says they thought initially it may have been a sunfish. When they got closer, she says they noticed the shark was nearly as large as their 22-foot boat.
Osbourne estimates the shark was between 16 and 18 feet long. She says they spotted it in the same area where they usually jump off the boat.
