If you're by TD Garden on Halloween, you might think a restaurant's in a Guy Fieri costume.
Nope! The Food Network star known for his backward sunglasses and frosted tips is bringing Flavortown to Boston with a Latin street food-influenced he's opening on Thursday, which happens to be Halloween.
The restaurant, Tequila Cocina, will be part of a larger venue called Big Night Live, a 43,000-square-foot concert hall and event space and will open on Thursday at The Hub on Causeway, according to the group behind the venue, Big Night Entertainment Group.
Tequila Cocina will serve dishes influenced by Latin street food, like crispy cheeseburger tacos, queso fundido and "sizzling" molcajete de carne y marisco. It'll offer over 100 tequilas on its cocktail menu, the group said in a news release.
Fieri is known in large part for his shows "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives" and "Guy's Big Bite." He has 70 restaurants around the world, including Guy's Foxwoods Kitchen + Bar in Connecticut, but the Tequila Cocina concept is new, according to the news release.
Its executive chef is Rachel Klein, who will also oversee culinary direction for the rest of Big Night Live. Klein has previously worked at several hotels in the Boston area.
“I’m very excited to be a part of Big Night’s largest venture yet. It’s been amazing working with corporate executive chef Kevin Scott and Guy Fieri on this bold menu that mirrors the fun and vibrant atmosphere that BNEG is known for," Klein said in a statement.

Big Night Live is also the name of the concert hall, which will have three bars. There's also another venue on the site, a multipurpose event space called Studio B, according to the release.
Tequila Cocina will be open Sunday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 12 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 4.p.m. to 2 a.m.
