A hazmat team was called to a Massachusetts college Wednesday evening due to a reported odor in one of the buildings.
Quincy fire officials said crews responded to Quincy College shortly before 6 p.m. for the reported odor on the third floor of a building.
As a result, a hazmat team was requested.
Authorities said one female victim was overcome by the odor. Several others were transported to an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The building was evacuated and fire officials conducted a floor-by-floor analysis.
Around 9 p.m., officials deemed the building safe and cleared the scene.
School officials said evening classes at Presidents Place were canceled due to building maintenance.
