Hit-and-Run Driver Leaves Man Critically Injured in Brockton, Massachusetts

Police say the victim was struck outside The Spot Night Club on North Main Street

Massachusetts State Police are searching for the hit-and-run driver that left a man critically injured Saturday night.

The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck at 1:29 a.m. outside The Spot Night Club on North Main Street.

The victim, who has not been identified, was first taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, then to Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, where he remains in critical condition.

Witnesses told police that the victim was leaving the club with a group of people when he was struck while crossing the street. According to witnesses, the driver failed to stop and drove up North Main Street.

The incident is being investigated by State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Brockton Police.
