A house in Plymouth, Massachusetts, was destroyed after a fire broke out early Sunday morning.
The Plymouth Fire Department was called to the Overlook Circle home around 6:35 a.m. Firefighters found the house engulfed in flames by the time they arrived, was engulfed in flames by the time they arrived, but thankfully the family of three who lived there wasn't home.

The Plymouth Fire Department requested reinforcements and received assistance from the Kingston Fire Department along with help from Brewster Ambulance.

The blaze was contained by 8 a.m. and no one was injured.
The home sustained significant damage and deemed a total loss. The Plymouth fire chief estimated there were approximately $725,000 worth of damage to the building and its contents.
Chief Neil Foley commended the firefighters who battled another fire in the weekend's extreme heat.

"I want to acknowledge the great work by our firefighters who stepped up this weekend to safely extinguish these two fires in extreme heat conditions without any injuries or heat-related issues," Foley said in a statement. "Throughout this heatwave, our members have worked extra shifts to ensure that those on shift have relief and their dedication and hard work has shown through, especially in these two incidents."
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
