Police Investigate Double Shooting at Mattapan Square Station

Police in Boston are investigating a double shooting reported overnight at an MBTA stop in Mattapan.

Authorities arrived at Mattapan Square Station shortly after 2 a.m. after they received a report of shots fired in the area, according to transit police. There, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Later, officers were notified that a second man had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

Both victims, a 23-year-old man and 35-year-old man, suffered non-life threatening injuries. 

Details on what led up to the shooting were not immediately clear.
