Rob Gronkowski's offseason has been filled with questions about whether he will return to the New England Patriots next season or retire and his latest Instagram post seems to provide an answer -- sort of.
Following a recent ESPN report that Gronkowski is "pretty certain" he’ll come back to the Patriots if quarterback Tom Brady stays with the team, the tight end posted a cryptic message on Instagram Thursday also possibly hinting at a return.
"You see the play, you see the fun, you seen me go down HARD," read the post. "They been saying for years I wouldn’t last since their eyes... 1st saw it all. Just cause ya can’t do it, don’t mean I can’t."
The speculation began when the star tight end refused to rule out retirement following the Patriots’ devastating loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.
"I'm definitely going to look at my future, for sure," he said after the game in Minneapolis. "I'll sit down in the next couple of weeks and see where I'm at."
