As Boston Celtics fans already know, Isaiah Thomas wears his heart on his sleeve. That certainly was the case Monday night.
The former Celtics guard saw his first game action at TD Garden since he left Boston via trade in the summer of 2017, playing seven minutes in the Denver Nuggets' 114-105 win over the C's.
He also got his long-awaited tribute video and gushed to reporters both before and after the game about just how much the city meant to him.
Later Monday night, he took to social media to thank Boston fans directly.

"HOME is where the HEART is!!! Thank you for making this night so special, All love forever Boston!" Thomas wrote on Instagram while sharing some of the best photos from Monday's game.
I.T. shared that post on Twitter, as well, where it got a retweet from former C's teammate Terry Rozier. Thomas had a busy night on Twitter, too, retweeting clips of Monday night's homecoming and reaffirming his love for Boston.

Coincidentally, Monday was a special night for Thomas' current team, as the Nuggets clinched their first playoff berth since the 2012-13 season. So, while he's appreciative of Boston (and wouldn't mind coming back here), he's just as happy for his own squad.
