A jackknifed tractor trailer caused traffic delays on Interstate 495 in Lawrence, Massachusetts on Wednesday.
The accident was reported around 11 a.m.
Massachusetts State Police said the accident occurred on I-495 north, just north of Route 114.
Aerial video from NBC10 Boston's Sky Ranger helicopter showed what appeared to be a tanker truck hung up on the left guardrail.
The left lane was closed for a significant period of time, and at one point traffic was diverted to the lower deck and around the crash scene so a heavy duty tow truck could remove the tractor trailer.
The accident scene was cleared around 1:30 p.m.
