JetBlue Plane Honoring Fallen Firefighter Lands at Worcester Airport

Menard was killed in an overnight fire Wednesday, leaving behind a wife and three children

JetBlue paid tribute to Lt. Jason Menard, who was killed in the line of duty this week, by flying a specially-painted plane into Worcester Regional Airport Saturday.

According to the City of Worcester, JetBlue's "Blue Bravest" plane, which is painted the colors of the Fire Department of New York, landed at the Worcester airport Saturday.

"Thank you to everyone across the country and world who are showing their love and support for @WorcesterFD &family of Lt. Menard," the city said in a tweet Saturday.

Menard was killed in an overnight fire Wednesday, leaving behind a wife and three children. The family had been scheduled to leave on a trip to Disney on Wednesday.

A funeral for the fallen firefighter is scheduled for Monday.
