Officials: 1 King Philip Regional High School Student Allegedly Sexually Assaulted Another

School officials in Wrentham, Massachusetts, say one student has allegedly sexually assaulted another.

King Philip Regional High School administrators said Friday that it had been informed of the alleged incident, which occurred off school property. They did not say where it happened, but said local police were made aware of the allegations immediately.

The school is in Wrentham, but it also serves the towns of Norfolk and Plainville.

Officials said the school was cooperating with law enforcement authorities.

"We take situations like this very seriously," the school said in a statement.

Counselors will be made available to students next week, according to the school.
