Leominster Man Dead in One-Car Crash on Interstate 495: State Police

The 46-year-old man lost control of his SUV and went off the road into trees

One man died in a single-car crash on Interstate 495 in Littleton Saturday, authorities said.

A 46-year-old man was driving north on I-495 around 11:40 a.m. when he lost control of his SUV and went off the road into trees, according to Massachusetts State Police.

It is not yet clear what caused the car off the road.

The sole man in the vehicle, who police identified as Joseph Sullivan of Leominster, was trapped until Littleton Fire Department helped remove him.

He was brought to Nashoba Valley Medical Center in Ayer, where he was pronounced dead, Massachusetts State Police said.

This crash remains under investigation.
