LISTEN: The World Champion Red Sox Have Their Own Rap Song

Jam'n 94.5 DJ Maverik's "Red Sox Nonstop Remix" is getting a lot of attention

That didn't take long.

Even before the Red Sox could make it back to Boston, they had their own rap song.

Boston-based Jam'n 94.5 DJ Maverik wrote a song about the World Series champs which name-checks many of the team's stars and recounts their contributions to the win over the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The song -- "Red Sox Nonstop Remix," a remix of Drake's "Nonstop" -- got quite a boost when the Red Sox played it repeatedly on their flight back from L.A. on Monday.

"Pearce was hitting shots. Price was pitching lights out, now we at the top. We the champs, doin' damage, we the Boston Red Sox," raps Maverik at the beginning of the song.

"Chris Sale is the one. Then we come with Craig Kimbrel and you're done," he says later on in the song.

Sox outfielder Mookie Betts even posted a clip of the team listening to the song on Instagram.

Maverik seems to be enjoying all of the attention.

"In the words of the great philosopher @icecube 'today was a good day,'" he said on Twitter.
