A Massachusetts man is facing an attempted murder charge after he allegedly stabbed his boss with a box cutter in a workplace violence incident Friday morning.
Jean Attis, 37, of Taunton, is charged with attempted murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (box cutter).
Raynham police said they received multiple calls around 11 a.m. from Dotcom Computers on Paramount Drive reporting that there was a man in the building with a weapon. While en route to the scene, police said they learned that an employee had stabbed someone with a box cutter.
The suspect, later identified as Attis, had allegedly stabbed his supervisor in the neck with a box cutter following an argument. He was arrested without incident.
The victim, a 51-year-old male from Taunton, was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Attis was scheduled to be arraigned in Taunton District Court. It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer.
