Man Accused of Physically Abusing, Injuring Girlfriend's Child

A New Hampshire man has been arrested on assault charges after police say he physically abused a young child and injured him.

Bradley Mobbs, 27, of Concord, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in Portsmouth. He faces three felony counts of second degree assault and a misdemeanor charge of endangering the welfare of a child.

The mother of a boy under 13 reported to Concord police earlier Tuesday that her child had complained of injuries. Police launched an investigation and an arrest warrant was issued for Mobbs, the mother's live-in boyfriend.

Police did not reveal details of the boy's injuries or the nature of the alleged attack. The child was treated and released from a hospital, and police say he is in a safe location.

Mobbs was due to appear in Merrimack County Superior Court Wednesday afternoon. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
