The Boston Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying a gunman responsible for the death of a man in his 20s and the injury of a teenager in Dorchester.

Police received a call of a shooting at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday on Norfolk Street, according to officials. There, they found the two victims suffering from gunshot wounds.

"At this time, you can see it's an active crime scene," incoming police commissioner William Gross said. "And we're looking for a help from the communities."

The condition of the teenage victim is unclear.
