Man Indicted on Murder After Body Found in Basement Grave in Worcester

Thomas Garon had previously been charged with moving a dead body and misleading investigators in connection with the death of 68-year-old Marcelino Muesces

A Worcester man has been charged with the discovery of a body in a shallow grave in the basement of his home.

Thomas Garon had previously been charged with moving a dead body and misleading investigators in connection with the death of 68-year-old Marcelino Muesces.

The Telegram reports that a Worcester County grand jury returned indictments Thursday adding charges, including murder, against the 54-year-old Garon.

Police found Muesces' body in March buried in the basement of the home owned by Garon's mother. Muesces was reported missing in February after he picked up a paycheck at work.

According to court documents, Garon told police he knew Muesces and had bought drugs from him in the past, but denied that Muesces had ever been inside his house.
