Man Yells At, Assaults Woman With Phone in Cambridge: Police

A barefoot man assaulted a woman with a phone and yelled at her on Tuesday morning while she was out with her baby in Cambridge, according to police, who are looking to identify the attacker.

The man also grabbed but unsuccessfully pulled the woman's stroller, which was carrying her 1-year-old child, Cambridge police said.

The incident took place in the area of Harvard Street near Prospect Street at about 9:40 a.m.

The man fled in the direction of Inman Street toward Central Square, police said.

The woman and her child refused medical attention, according to police.

The suspect was barefoot but wore a multi-colored hat, a green shirt and khaki shorts, and was carrying a brown backpack at the time. Police described him as white and in his late 20s.
