Manchester NH Police Sgt. Placed on Leave Pending Internal Investigation Into Misconduct Allegations

A Manchester, New Hampshire police sergeant has been placed on leave pending an internal investigation into allegations of misconduct.

Authorities said Sgt. Eric Knight, a 21-year veteran of the department, was placed on paid administrative leave July 16.

On July 12, Manchester Police Chief Carlo Capano said he was notified by the Hillsborough County Attorney’s Office about potential officer misconduct.

Knight will remain on paid leave pending the outcome of the internal affairs and criminal investigations.

No further information, including the nature of the allegations, was available.
