Cape Cod Beach Closed to Swimmers After Shark Sightings

A Cape Cod beach was temporarily closed to swimming twice Wednesday after shark sightings. 

A no-swimming order was issued for Marconi Beach on the Cape Cod National Seashore until 1:15 p.m. after the first sighting, according to the Sharktivity app.

The beach was closed again until 2:45 p.m. after a second sighting.  

Sharks have been sighted off Cape Cod over 200 times this year, according to the app.
