A Massachusetts State Police trooper was injured when his cruiser was struck from behind by another motor vehicle on Interstate 93 southbound in Randolph late Monday night.
The trooper was working a detail and was in his cruiser protecting a road crew when his vehicle was struck at 11:35 p.m.
The driver of the other vehicle was also injured.

Both the trooper and the other driver were transported to area hospitals. Their conditions are unknown.
The crash remains under investigation.
