MBTA Commuter Rail Hits and Kills Pedestrian

A person was hit and killed by an MBTA Commuter Rail train Tuesday in Wellesley, Massachusetts.

The commuter rail confirmed earlier that service was delayed on the Framingham/Worcester Line of the MBTA Commuter Rail due to police activity.

Transit police announced at 4 p.m. that a person had died after being struck on the tracks. Foul play was not suspected.

Police in Wellesley say they are working with transit police to investigate the incident on the tracks near the intersection of Central Street and Weston Road.

All trains on the line were expected to experience delays.
