A man was killed Tuesday night after the pickup truck he was driving in collided with an MBTA commuter rail train in Abington, Massachusetts, according to Transit Police.
The incident happened at about 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of Railroad Street and North Avenue.
MBTA Superintendent Richard Sullivan said the 78-year-old pickup truck driver was pronounced dead as a result of the crash.
There were 10 passengers on board the train at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
