Two men were arrested at a Worcester, Massachusetts apartment after police received a tip on their involvement in distributing narcotics.

Drug investigators stopped the men outside the apartment in a car with livery license plates.

Carlos Nunez, 35, of Worcester, and Ramon Tapia, 31, of the Bronx, New York, were placed under arrest after a search warrant was obtained. Police found a black plastic shopping bag containing 300 grams of heroin in Tapia's waistband.

An additional 40 grams of heroin were found in a Lagrange Street apartment, along with packaging materials and mail in the name of Nunez.

The men are charged with conspiracy to violate the controlled substance laws, and trafficking in heroin greater than 200 grams.

They will be arraigned on Thursday at the Worcester County District Courthouse.
