A 12-inch water main broke overnight in South Boston, leaving more than a dozen buildings without service.
At least 16 buildings have been without water since the break around 11 p.m. Wednesday, which occurred just outside of 480 Dorchester Ave, according to the Boston Police Department.
The road remained closed Thursday morning as repairs were underway.
