New England audiences can tune in to NBC10 Boston, Telemundo Boston and necn this New Year’s Eve to watch live coverage of "First Night Boston."
Hosted by NBC10 Boston and necn anchors Phil Lipof, Shannon Mulaire, JC Monahan, Chris Emma, Kristy Lee and Nick Emmons, along with Telemundo Nueva Inglaterra anchors Grace Gomez, Pedro Castro and meteorologist Cecy del Carmen, viewers can once again watch six hours of family-friendly programming and coverage, including the parade, light shows, ice sculptures and fireworks.
NBC10 Boston coverage airs from 6 to 8 p.m. and 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.; Telemundo Boston will air the broadcast from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., and necn will carry continuing programming from 6 p.m. through the Copley Countdown to 2019 and ending coverage at 12:30 a.m.

Chadwick Stokes, Boston resident and front man of Dispatch, State Radio, and The Pintos, will headline and ring in the New Year at the Dec. 31 concert in Copley Square with thousands of cheering fans. With the illuminated and historic Trinity Church as a backdrop, Stokes will take the Copley Square main stage at 11:20, helping lead the Copley Countdown into the New Year. Segments of the performance will be carried live throughout New England on event television partner NBC10 Boston, necn, and Telemundo Boston.
In addition, First Night Boston has announced a philanthropic Charity Partner Program for its 2019 event. Eventgoers will be introduced to four nonprofit organizations that empower area girls and women.
The selected charities for this inaugural program include #HereForTheMusic, a campaign created by the nonprofit organization Calling all Crows that works to prevent sexual violence in the live music industry through training, policy consulting, and education; Boston-based Project Hope which serves low-income women and families with education, workforce training, job placement, housing assistance, and is an emergency family shelter; The Center for Women and Enterprise dedicated to helping New England women and veterans start and grow their businesses; and Girls at Work, Inc., believing through power tools and one woodworking project at a time they can empowers girls to build confidence to face current and future life challenges.

The selected organizations will be featured in Copley Square to spread awareness about the good work that they do, and collect donations throughout the day. NBC10 Boston, Telemundo Boston and necn viewers will be able to watch pre-event television coverage of their work with the option to donate at FirstNightBoston.org.
The entire broadcast from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. will be available for viewing through a livestream at NBC10Boston.com and necn.com. The Telemundo Boston livestream is available from 11 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at telemundonuevainglaterra.com.
