NBC10 Boston’s Today Show Puppy Has a Name: Brady

The puppy joined NBC10 Boston as part of the Today Show's Puppy With a Purpose initiative

NBC10 Boston revealed the name of its Today Show puppy: Brady.

The puppy, which was one of six that will ultimately be homed with a veteran through VetDogs, arrived at our station on Tuesday, Feb. 27, needed a name. We asked our viewers, who voted on the following options through Wednesday evening:

  • Toby - 783 votes
  • Logan - 1410 votes
  • Brady - 1563 votes
  • Beacon - 1071 votes

The puppy's name, which honors the New England Patriots star quarterback, was revealed Friday.

You can follow the puppy's journey on Instagram, @nbc10bostonpuppy, which will be run by its VetDogs trainer Hannah Cunningham.

The puppy is part of the Today Show's Puppy Class of 2019. Click here to learn more about the puppy with a purpose initiative.

VetDogs is a charity that trains and places service dogs with veterans, active-duty service members and first responders with disabilities, "allowing them to once again live with pride and self-reliance," according to its website.
