New Hampshire Man Arrested on Animal Cruelty Charges

A New Hampshire man has been arrested on animal cruelty charges after a police investigation determined he abused a dog while walking along Anne Avenue in Portsmouth, according to local police.

David Dantino, 26, of Portsmouth was allegedly captured on video kicking the animal and jerking its leash. The video, which investigators described as "quite disturbing," was shot by a witness who voluntarily provided it to police, officials say.

The dog, named Knox, is owned by an associate of Dantino, police say.

Dantino was charged with three counts of animal cruelty and is expected in court in March.
