NH Man Denied Early Release in Death of Infant Son Who Ingested Meth

The father of a 2-month-old boy who died in 2016 in New Hampshire after ingesting methamphetamine has lost his bid to reduce his sentence.

The Concord Monitor reports Bradford Ross will serve another one-and-a-half to four years in prison on drug charges stemming from the death of Cayden Ross.

Judge John Kissinger Jr.'s Jan. 18 decision says that Ross has taken steps to rehabilitate himself. But the judge says that exposing an infant child to a dangerous drug like methamphetamine "warrants a significant sentence."

Authorities say the boy died of methamphetamine intoxication. They say Ross was running a meth business from a travel camper.

Ross has argued that he had pursued drug treatment programs, attended a weekly support group for fathers and enrolled in business classes.
