New Hampshire Man Killed Girlfriend With Furniture, Prosecutors Say

Damien Seace, 35, was arrested on charges of alternative counts of knowing and reckless second-degree murder in the death of 45-year-old Jennifer Burpee

A New Hampshire man is facing murder charges for killing his girlfriend with a piece of furniture Tuesday night at an apartment in Manchester, according to the state attorney general's office.

Damien Seace, 35, was arrested on charges of knowing and reckless second-degree murder in the death of 45-year-old Jennifer Burpee.

Police received a domestic disturbance call about 10 p.m. Tuesday night in which a woman said that "Damien" was pounding on her door, prosecutors said.

When officers arrived at an Amory Street apartment, Burpee was dead inside. Police found Seace hiding in a bathroom, according to the attorney general's office.

Seace is accused of inflicting blunt force trauma to Burpee's body with a piece of furniture. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has scheduled an autopsy for Thursday to determine her exact cause and manner of death.

Seace did not appear for his arraignment Wednesday at a Hillsborough County court, according to The New Hampshire Union-Leader.
