New Restaurant From Woods Hill Table Owner Coming to Former Anthony’s Pier 4 Site on the Boston Waterfront

One of Boston's most iconic restaurant spaces will become home to a new dining spot, and the person behind a suburban farm-to-table eatery will be running this place.

The Tables section of The Boston Globe is reporting that Kristin Canty of Woods Hill Table in West Concord is going to be opening an as-of-yet unnamed restaurant on the ground floor of a residential building at the site where Anthony's Pier 4 had been. The post mentions that the 140-seat spot will include a raw bar and an outdoor patio, and it plans to honor the now-closed Anthony's by decorating the space with memorabilia from the old restaurant.

Anthony's Pier 4 closed for good in the summer of 2013 after being in business since 1963; the restaurant was once one of the most profitable dining spots in the United States and attracted a variety of famous people, including U.S. presidents, professional athletes, and religious leaders.

The building that the new restaurant will be housed in--which happens to be called PIER 4--is located at 100 Pier 4 Boulevard which is just off Seaport Boulevard in Boston's Seaport District.
