No More Video Games for Gordon Hayward? Wife Responds to Livestream Exchange

We all have our hobbies. Gordon Hayward's just happens to be broadcast on the internet.

That meant when the Boston Celtics forward and avid gamer shared a pretty relatable moment with his wife during a recent video game session, the entire world was able to listen in.

Here's the setup: Hayward finishes up a video game that's being live streamed online and is heard asking his wife, Robyn, "I got time for one more?"

Robyn, in the tone of a mother whose teenage son is, well, playing too many video games, responds: "No. No, you don't have time."

Unlike a stubborn teenager, Hayward agreed to log off. But the video still went viral, partly because the livestream also picked up this line from Robyn:

"I'm watching you play video games. How pathetic is my life?"

In fact, the video caused so much of a stir that Robyn felt the need to address her comments Wednesday night in her Instagram story.

"I just was reading some comments from people who were super offended from me on Gordon's stream yesterday saying he didn't have time for another game when he asked," Robyn said. "We were leaving to go to his workout, so don't get so offended by things.

"And when I was on the phone, it was a joke when I said ‘how pathetic is my life watching him play video games?' Don't get so offended by things. Your life is going to be so miserable if you're offended by everything people say.

"I wasn't even watching him play video games -- I had just walked into the room to tell him it was time to go. So, I hope that makes you feel a little bit better, and I hope you have a better day."

That's probably more behind-the-scenes footage of the Hayward family than we needed to see, but Celtics fans may wish Gordon hung around for one more game.

According to head coach Brad Stevens, Hayward twisted his right ankle Wednesday during the workout his wife apparently was referencing and may be questionable for Thursday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
