Officer Struck by Sliding Car in Framingham

The officer tried to run out of the way, but he was struck in the leg and sent flying into a mulch pile

A police officer was injured after being struck by a car in Framingham on Sunday.

According to police, an officer was working a private detail on Route 9 when a vehicle skidded on the wet roadway Sunday morning. A second vehicle, attempting to avoid the sliding car, lost control and struck the officer.

The officer tried to run out of the way, but he was struck in the leg and sent flying into a mulch pile, police said.

He sustained non-life threatening injuries and is expected to be okay.
