Two kids fell overboard while operating a boat in Massachusetts, prompting authorities to rescue the unmanned boat.
The incident occurred Thursday afternoon on Waquoit Bay in Barnstable, police said.
Two kids fell overboard while the boat was still in drive. According to authorities, a marine officer jumped onto the boat as it was driving in circles unmanned. The officer was able to turn it off, police said.
The two kids were unhurt.
The United States Coast Guard, the Falmouth Fire Department and the Mashpee Harbormaster also assisted the rescue.
