Part of Orange Line Train Car Ceiling Falls During Commute

A woman riding the MBTA subway in Boston Thursday morning captured commuters reaction when the train car's ceiling fell open as the car was moving.

Lauren Albanese was riding an Orange line train inbound, near Haymarket, when the incident happened.

Albanese said the car was moving when the piece of celling fell.

It's unclear if anyone was injured in the incident.

The MBTA responded to her that its maintenance personnel were notified of the incident.

A spokesperson for the MBTA tells NBC10 Boston an Orange Line supervisor boarded the train at Downtown Crossing to secure the dropped ceiling panel.

The investigation into what caused the ceiling panel to drop is ongoing.
