Pair Faces Nearly 20 Charges After Wild Police Chase Ends in Crash

The pair faces nearly 20 different charges including assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a police officer

A man and woman face a slew of charges after leading police on a wild chase in Lynn, Massachusetts before crashing into another vehicle, seriously injuring another driver.

Authorities said Khadijra Boyd, 28, of Lynn, was driving when police tried to stop her on Joy Street around 7 p.m. Wednesday. She allegedly backed into the cruiser and drove off.

As police followed the car, it crashed into another vehicle on Essex Street. The collision was captured on video.

Three people were injured, one seriously, after a car crashed while fleeing police.

The man driving the second vehicle was hospitalized with serious injuries. Boyd and her passenger, Juan Porter, 29, were also taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police said they recovered a gun from the car that fled from officers.

Between them, Boyd and Porter face nearly 20 different charges, ranging from assault with a dangerous weapon and assault and battery on a police officer to carrying a firearm without a license.

They scheduled to appear in Lynn District Court Thursday, according to police.
