Patriots Place Fullback James Develin on Injured Reserve

The Patriots will be without their veteran fullback for the foreseeable future.

James Develin (neck) was placed on injured reserve on Monday, per ESPN's Field Yates. The 31-year-old suffered the injury during New England's Week 2 matchup against the Miami Dolphins and missed Sunday's game against the New York Jets.

With Develin out, that makes Jakob Johnson the Pro Bowler's replacement going forward.

Develin joins rookie wide receiver N'Keal Harry and offensive tackle Isaiah Wynn on IR. Only two of the three Patriots standouts can come off IR this season.
