Edelman Roasts NY Heckler With Hilarious Comment

New England Patriots wide receier Julian Edelman is having quite the offseason.

The Super Bowl MVP has been busy. His offseason activities have included attending the Daytona 500 in February, working out with Tom Brady at Boston College, serving as fan banner captain at a Boston  Bruins playoff game, and on Monday night attending the Met Gala in New York City.

Edelman was walking out of a Met Gala after-party in NYC with New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and Cleveland Browns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. when a heckler was shouting at the players. Edelman responded to the heckler, who apparently was a New York Jets fan, with a hilarious comment.

"I'm a Jets fan too," Edelman said. "Every time we play them, we win."

Check out the interaction in the TMZ video below:

Edelman's not wrong, either. The Patriots have a six-game win streak against the Jets, and the defending Super Bowl champs have won seven of their last eight meetings with their AFC East rivals. New York hasn't defeated the Patriots since the 2015 season.

The Jets will get their first crack at Edelman and the Patriots when New York comes to Gillette Stadium on Sept. 22 for a Week 3 matchup.
