One man is being held on bail and another is on the run while a woman recovers from injuries after allegedly being struck by a stolen Uber car in Boston's Chinatown neighborhood Thursday night.
Jonathan Pagan, 26, of Everett was arraigned on multiple charges in Boston Municipal Court on Friday morning.
Pagan is accused of shoplifting at the Wild Duck liquor store on Washington Street with another man.
After the men fled the store, they allegedly jumped into an unattended Uber vehicle that had been left unlocked with the engine running, then crashed, hit a pedestrian, and ditched the vehicle at the intersection of Essex and Washington streets.
The pedestrian, identified as a woman by the Boston Globe, was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
A passerby was able to hold onto Pagan until MBTA and Boston police officers arrived at the scene, police said; meanwhile, the other suspect fled the scene on foot.
The Globe reports Pagan was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, shoplifting under $50, larceny of a motor vehicle and leaving the scene of an accident after causing personal injury.

Prosecutors said Pagan, who has a long rap sheet, is being held on $100,000 bail.
The other suspect remains on the run.
