A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries Monday after they were hit by a car in Boston's South End neighborhood.

Boston police are investigating the hit-and-run after it happened near Washington and Thorndike Streets, they said.

They said Monday afternoon that they located a car in connection with the crash and identified its driver, although they didn't say anyone's been arrested.
